First Poco Fest® Music Festival Coming to Port O’Connor Port O’Connor, Texas — As excitement is mounting for the 2016 Poco Bueno Fishing Tournament, we are pleased to announce a fun way that will enhance the experience: Poco Fest®, a distinctive coastal music festival with exciting Texas entertainment.
Headliners for the festival include: Kevin Fowler, Kyle Park and William Clark Green. The family-friendly, three-day music festival featuring 10 bands will be held July 14-16 in Port O’Connor, Texas. Tickets are available to purchase in advance at www.pocofest.net
This year, adjacent to the Poco Bueno® weigh station, will be a music festival like no other! Attendees will be able to listen to great music while browsing vendors; enjoy family-friendly activities in our Kids’ Area sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife; and partake in lots of great food and refreshing drinks. “Steeped in tradition, Poco Bueno® draws a large crowd each year to watch the amazing catches brought in. The area has always had a festival atmosphere and as the tournament has grown, so have the crowds. We are always looking for ways to enhance the weigh- in experience, we believe the addition of Poco Fest® accomplishes this. With three days featuring 10 bands, this will be quite the community event,” said Walter Fondren, event chair. Additional event details will be announced in the months leading up to Poco Fest on both the festival’s Facebook page and website: www.pocofest.net
“Our hope is this event will be a spring board for regional bands and a unique opportunity for those attending to hear these bands perform live,” said Francy Fondren, event co-chair. “This is such a warm and welcoming community that embraces Poco Bueno® each year and we are proud to bring this dream of Poco Fest® to reality for them to enjoy. We couldn’t do this without our sponsors and we greatly appreciate Landshark, Del Papa Distributing, Port Lavaca Dodge, Yeti, Houston Methodist Hospital, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Cotton Culinary and Bradley Bathhouse, as well as others for making this event possible.”
