Barge Accident Saturday, March 22, a barge, owned by Houston-based Kirby Inland Marine Corp, was traveling the Houston Ship Channel when struck by a ship. Several boats participated in the Port O’Connor Chamber of Commerce Lighted Boat Parade, despite the cold temperature. The parade started at Froggies and ended at the judges tent in Caracol. To all of the participants, thank you. This is a wonderful annual event and a great way to kick-off the holiday.
An impressive number of boaters braved the cold weather to deliver toys to Port O’Connor.
